MORNING BEAUTY’S EDITOR TRIED AND TESTED THE SKINBREEZE FACIAL TREATMENT, WHICH FUSES FIVE DIFFERENT TECHNOLOGIES TO IMPROVE SKIN’S FIRMNESS AND TO REDUCE FINE LINES AND PIGMENTATION. READ HER REVIEW BELOW.
A cutting-edge technique that helps to increase skin’s firmness, microdermabrasion works by gently buffing away dead cells. It also improves the appearance of dark spots and fine lines. Therefore, that being said, imagine my excitement when I was invited to try the Skinbreeze facial treatment, which combines five results-driven, tailored steps, including a crystal-free orbital microdermabrasion.
Following a deep, yet pleasant cleansing, my therapist started the first step of the treatment, which is actually the previously mentioned orbital microdermabrasion. The orbital microdermabrasion is made with a replaceable tip that is coated with silicon carbide; it has three levels of coarseness, which is set according to your skin type. It rotates and mildly exfoliates the complexion, removing dead cells and it is also associated with LED light therapy. The red light is used to stimulate collagen, increase circulation and wound healing, whereas the blue light helps to soothe and calm the skin, as well as cooling down inflammations and killing bacteria.
The second step of the treatment is O² Spray. It releases a fine mist that calms the skin, which is followed by bursts of air containg Skinbreeze’s specially formulated serums. I was given the Brightening Serum as it lightens and brightens the complexion, plus it assists to reduce unwanted pigmentation. Afterwards, the cooling Hydro Mask is immediately applied. It is a transparent gel mask that contains serum underneath; it instantly nourishes and soothes any irritation or redness you may have.
At the same time, my therapist used a massaging tip that goes over the mask, which is called O³ Ozone Therapy. It makes the product to penetrate deeper into the skin as well as it improves lymphatic drainage and the elimination of toxins. Also, it reduces dark circles and puffiness around the eyes. It was definitely the most enjoyable part of the treatment, although in any moment I felt distressed.
It is worth mentioning that I was weary and slightly nauseated at the day of my appointment, which happened on a windy, unpleasantly cold Monday. I relaxed during the treatment though, and my skin really felt smoother, rejuvenated. Furthermore, the fine lines I already have around my eyes were reduced.
By the way, I had my treatment at the Premier Laser & Skin in Soho (Suite 7, Egmont House,116 Shaftesbury Avenue, W1D 5EW). It costs £150 and each session lasts over 50 minutes.
